Founded in 2001, Landmark Advisors, LLC is an alternative investment management firm that employs a value-orientated investment philosophy. Despite the market's potential for short term irrationality, Landmark believes that in the long run market prices converge on intrinsic value, rewarding investors who utilize value-based strategies.

Landmark’s goal is to create portfolios of the highest conviction ideas of managers who value companies based on rigorous fundamental research and analysis, preferring managers who bring a "private equity mentality to the public markets." While the individual managers act as performance drivers, Landmark combines the managers into portfolios of various concentrations to satisfy the different return expectations and diversification needs of our clients.

At Landmark, we generally seek to maximize the returns of our portfolios rather than put our primary focus on minimizing volatility while accepting lower returns. To this end, we aim to avoid the over-diversification that seems prevalent among many single and multi-manager strategies, preferring to invest with a select number of specialized managers who in turn focus on their most intensely researched, highest conviction ideas.

Landmark's Portfolio Managers have built their careers valuing companies as mergers, acquisitions and private equity professionals. This experience enables them to analyze the investment theses, catalysts, valuation methodologies, and risk factors of the specific security level positions of our underlying managers, rather than only analyzing their portfolios as a whole.
